our software which has been in use for decades by museums all over the world.
we propose as a metric, to get 10 people to time 10 people to see how long it takes from beginning of search to reading of a page. we record the median and mean and the range. then we try the same test with our software and we expect a 100-1000% improvement.
behind the scenes, library staff will be trained how to add change and delete entries. the system can be replicated all over the country. in small lower cost versions, and may be kept in sync with the master computer. a dedicated Internet connection is not required, to keep costs low for branch libraries.
as a pilot test we will use the main Toronto library, and a small library in a town called Madoc.
