Being born in Ottawa of Guyanese Indian, East Indian, and European ancestry helps me to have a more global view of the world and my art reflects this synthesis as I explore the imagery common to both children books and mystic works.

I began painting at 5 and just never stopped. I received professional training from the Ontario College or Art and Design University with a special emphasis on digital; now I work primarily with paint, canvas, paper and fabric.

My family have been drawing what we call dream cats since the 1970s. To me, the swirling of shapes and cats represents what really goes in in our heads at night. We just call them dreams. I want to see these whimsical kittens on the side of a building.
