Richard Sexton: Intricately finished Adirondack chair, wood-burned and pained. Notice the design of the seat from the side, notice the contour. The man that designed this chair spent 2 years trying to make them comfortable and got it right, these are some of the most comfortable chairs I've ever sat in.The guy that designed the chair and built company to sell them is a friend of mine, actually the first person I met in grade 4, and we've been good friends ever since. I bought four of these chars in the 1990s in pine and will probably replace them with the western red ceder models. Beware of imitations, real Bear Chairs have a brass plate under the seat in the middle at the front that says "Bear Chair Co."
