just made a 2nd batch of tomato sauce from organic tomatoes that were free. cut the bad bits out, put them in the cermaic dish int he overn overnight at 150. the next morning they were still round but soft enough to blend esily. this is the 2nd time we got free tomatoes and also used this method, its very good for summer cooking.
made strawberry jam from free organic fruit, got about 10 pounds of strawberry. made a gallon of jam which boiled down to half gallon. put 1 jar int he fridge and sealed 2 jars to store. made strawberry ice cream with jam, fruit and organic whipping cream. have 3 small containers left.

made mango ice cream yesterday with a dash of rum.

made ice cream: mango puree , a cup of heavy cream, third cup coconut cream canned, half banana, passionfruit, raspberry from the garden. its very good and very fluffy.
tmrw: barfi. coconut cream, milk powder, coconut cream solid.
flavour 1: cardamom, rose, cashew butter
flavour 2: blond chocolate, cashew butter, vanilla
flavour 3: cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, allspice, clove.
flavour 4: blond chocolate, cocoa powder, espresso powder.

got 9 bottles of milk from hp all for half price.
went to jaggers, third time in 4 days. yesterday got 4 blueberry pint for 5 bucks, plus free blackberries and made a jar of jam. its really good. had some on the tropical fruit ice cream. also got some cherry tomatoes. got a free cantalope. and free mangoes and lettuce and brussel sprouts. we bought potatoes and a croissant and it came to 10 bucks.
today we got some strawberries free, 4 free cucumbers, a dozen pomegranates, some oranges.
we had spent 5 bucks and got 2 chocolate bars, one lindt cranberry nut, and pc blonde, and got 3 packs of pasta, some were egg noodles from italy which we made lasagna with before. it was great the first time so we got more. got 3 golden melon things free too.
it wasnt so hot so we cooked today. made cheese with 2 L goat milk, 2 L buttermilk. made a handful of cheese after it was pressed. it will go in the lasagna with the tomato sauce we made from free tomatoes. the buttermilk was free too. goat milk half price. which we feed to the cat every morning.
for dinner we had szechuan beef, with free brussel sprouts, and used the orange duck gravy as the stock. it turned into an amazing orange beef dish. so good. served with sushi rice.

made keto coconut barfi: equal amounts ~1 cup of coconut milk, and package of cocontu cream. ghee 1/4 cup. mixed and melted then added 1 cup of whole milk powder. mixed again, take off heat. mixed in spices: pinch of close, dash of cinnamon, tsp cardamom, 1 tbsp rose water, 1 tbsp sugar, dash vanilla. it did look like snow.
made bottom layer of cashew butter and coconut mixture, put in fridge to set. then layered barfi filling. one is topped with almonds. the other i added 1-2 tbsp cashew butter into the barfi. it tastes amazing.
picked 2 pints of raspberry and made jam! a whole jar of golden raspberry jam, anmd its golden coloured.
now we have a full jar of blueberry/blackberry, blackcurrant, half a large jar of strwberry, and 3 types of wine jam, and a small yellow plum jam, and an unopened seville orange maramalade, and probably half full jars of marmalade. plus 2 jars of strawberry on the pantry. and freezer has kiwi jam and apricot jam.
its been a fruitful summer so far.
even our fridge is full of mangoes, melons, and orange, we have sweet limes. sweet lime barfi. with almond coconut crust.coconut cream filling mixed with lime. and clove? like coca cola.

idea: green tea milk fudge. make tea and use the liquid in fidge.

pineappole ice cream: juice 2 pineapples, boilt he juice down.

we had made mayo a few days ago using olive oil, eggs, vinegar. it didnt seem to come together and was runny. we left it in the fridge for a while. today it is now set! its thick and its yellow.
r made an amazing sub sandwich with free buns, toms from jags, cheese, mayo, truffle cheese, lettuce.
i made 2 kind of barfi: one strawberry macadamia nut with rose, and one dark chocolate sesame with rose and coffee. actually the plain barfi with just rose and chai spices tastes amazing, and i only used 1 tbsp sugar for the whole thing, maybe 2-3 cups of fudge. except when i made the chocolate sesame fudge, i had to add 2 more tbsp sugar as i used 2 giant heaping tablespoons of sesame and it is quite bitter. so it will be a dark chocolate taste. for the whole barfi mixture i added 1 box coconut cream and 2 cups milk powder, which was porbably too much, i had to add coconut oil and water. but the end result was it tasted like sweet cookie dough. just amazing.
in other note we got free hair serum from jags and a brown sugar coffee body wash scrub. smells amazing. would be better with patchouli or vetivert.
its hot were having shrimp and noodles tonight.
made 2 pizza doughs yesterday and froze one. pizza in future.

went to jaggers for the 2nd time in 3 days. on friday we spent 56. got panache sausage and made pizza with it last night. we also got a terrys chocolate egg, which they sold out of by today. plus we got a free pack of jaggers beef wellington marked 20 bucks int he free bin. it was still cold. also got a free bag of cookies the italian chocolato. not very sweet, u shaped, little choco chips in them. they are addictive. thought id make tiramisu.
today we got 2 more panache sausage, one italian one bratwurst, 6 to a pack. plus we got a jar of olives (4.50), yogurt, cukes, 4 kiwis for $15. pretty good deal. we got a free pack of angus outside round steaks. they are huge. bit freezer burnt. but will make good lasagna.
rich had a hard time making pizza yesteray and used a lot more flour. at ten bucks a bag, and hes using half a bag of flour, its notmuch cheaper than buying pizza dough which he mentioned. so we might jsut do that. the dough was hard to work with. its hard to find organic unbleached bread machine flour. but it made an amazing pizza, the thickest and fluffiest crust i'd ever seen.
olive oil has gone up, its not 14/litre, maybe 13. nothing is cheaper anywhere. we got 2 bottles of dollarama olive oil for 2.75 each, and they are 250 mls.
yogurt at nofrills went up a dollar. its 2 bucks on sale, regular 3. last week it was 1.50 on sale.
today at SP we got 4 whipping creams, so 2 l, and 2 l of milk for 18 bucks. we bought butter for the first time in a while at nofrills so we coudl make ice cream with our cream.
