Since we began collecting squash seeds from local sources 1 year ago, we've added quite a few unexpected squash to our collection.

It started with a Halloween pumpkin. This is what came next:
Pie Pumpkin
Delicata
Acorn
Kabocha
Buttercup
Fairytale
Sweet Dumpling
Stripetti
Spaghetti

Pink Banana
Swan White Acorn
Hokkaido

Casper
Turban
Honeynut
Baby Boo

We've passed by a few squash: Pattypan seeds, Cinderella, Red Warty Hubbard, and Moranga-type pink pumpkin so far this year. Last year we passed by an extremely long butternut, a Butterkin, a blue squash that looked like Oregon Sweetmeat, and a giant Baby Blue Hubbard.

Without buying every single squash we could get our hands on, we still ended up with 17 total squash varieties just by taking the time to look.

Last year around town we saw 1 Jarrahdale, a Turban, and a porch display of Galeux D'Eysines, Lumina or maybe a Full Moon, Winter Luxury and Jarrahdale.

This year we've seen a porch display with what looks like Iran squash, Jarrahdale, and Moranga-style pink pumpkins. Also passed a giant white pumpkin, probably a Lumina.
