80 days - Oval 2" fruits ripen from deep mahogany to black-brown, better color than other blacks. Some prefer this variety for spaghetti sauce because of the nice rich color. Indeterminate vines. -
heirloomseeds
Origin from Russian seedswoman Marina Danilenko. Sprawling indeterminate plant produces an abundant long and steady crop of 2″, elongated, oval, plum-shaped fruits that are colored a beautiful deep-mahogany with dusky-green shoulders and garnet red flesh. Fruit resembles a small paste tomato but with thinner walls. Unique, sweet, tangy, rich, complex flavors. Great for snacking off the vine, sliced and scattered into a salad (perhaps with red and yellow cherry tomatoes), or making a rich, dark-colored pasta sauce. Presented in a bowl they appear like exotic jewels. YUM!

Solanum lycopersicum
A Russian heirloom, producing large clusters of 1” wide by 2” long plum shaped tomatoes on large, sturdy, vigorous vines. Fruit should be picked when reddish brown with green shoulders, for best taste and texture. This under-rated variety has a lovely rich, sweet, smoky flavour and is excellent for sauces, canning, fresh eating, and especially drying. Fairly blight resistant and lasts well into the fall when other varieties give out. Indeterminate.
