Give applause to the amazing world of carrots. Why? Because the red surface and flesh are not only brilliant and unusual, but this variety also has the health benefit of being very high in the antioxidant lycopene. The flavor and red color intensifies when steamed, baked or roasted and the healthful attributes of lycopene are more readily available after cooking. These carrots grow to 9”. 300 seeds $ 1.95
Well, I bought them a month ago...it's Feb....in Indiana, the snow is hind end deep to a tall indian, so can't say I have any comments on the use of the product
The few that came up were pretty but not a good yield.
I grew these for the first time this past season and it immediately became my new favorite! Beautiful roots that are perfectly sweet and complex.

These gorgeous, uniform, reddish-pink roots grow to about 8 inches in length. Unlike other red carrot, Atomic's color is through the core, making it a nice addition to other colored varieties. The color is attributed to the high amounts of lycopene found in this variety. A powerful antioxidant, the lycopene in Atomic Red becomes more bioavailable when cooked. Cooking can also enhance the striking color!
