Its flashy appearance made me wary of how it would taste. But beneath all of the stripes and spots and purple shoulders, there lies one delicious chocolate small salad tomato. The flesh is succulent, juicy, rich and sweet. This one is the best-tasting of all of the varieties from Mr. Gates that I have grown so far.
