Sweet bells are getting damping off! Don't overwater!

Today: plant half fresno, half cherry bomb. transfer fresno to new paper.
sprayed hab, fresno, lemon drop from outside. One of the habanadas has a radicle coming from the middle of the seed.

Put to sprout: yel jal, yel cay, serrano. To do: red shep, yel shep. Maybe 2 decorative peps.

Chia seeds have sent out white little roots! forgot to water them last night. they seem ok.

No new sprouts int he pepper. Only can find 3 habanada sprouts, and 1 poblano sprout which looks dead now. I'll try to plant it today.

No visible habanero sprouts either. don't knwo where they went.

today: prepared 4 pots of dirt. habanada, poblano, cherry bomb, fresno. transfer fresno to fresh napkin.

Planted 10 poblanos. some were just starting to show the white root. planted at least 20 cherry bomb, 4 habanadas - the root didn't look very good, almost rotted, and maybe 20 fresnos. Did the transfer to new napkin and bag and sprayed the leftover seed with H2O2, then put ina strainer, rinsed with water, and put on napkin and sprayed again. Saw 1 or 2 seeds had roots and got sprayed. we'll see if they live or not.

It's funny I didn't know all those poblanos sprouted. I'm hoping the same is true for the habaneros.

Chia sprouts are doing well. lots of whit roots coming, and some green leaves just starting to show.

Sweet bell is nearly all dead, the other sweet bell looks okay. never overwatering again!

Lemon drop sprouted! 2 so far. Bit of black mold. Also want to spray Fresno again.

Saw 1 tiny habanero sprout.
Nothing else is new.

Having extreme cold at night. pepper temp getting to 62 at night. now covering the fan vent at night. must remove each morning.

Today spouted: black pearl (2), lemon drop (4), cherry bomb (1), fresno (1), yellow jalapeno (lots) yellow cayenne (lots).

Still nothing visible in habanero. A sprout in habanada #2 appeared, the root is brown and soft like its rotted. Should plant tonight, probably tomorrow. Sprayed many napkins.

New technique for peppers: put seed baggies between two plates and oven on at less than 150 makes for 84-98 degrees. If habanero doesnt seriously start sprouting soon, getting new peppers.

Aphids on the pepper plant seedlings. Upsetting. Even though I sterilized the soil and used new containers. might have come off the nearby plants: oxalis, amarylis and banana. Sprayed them off for now.

It's been exactly 3 weeks since I put the habanero and poblano to sprout. Not much to show for it.

Chilhaucle sprouted! 3 so far. thinking of planting them today.

also to plant: cherry bomb (1/2 bag), lemon drop (3), yel cayenne (1/2 bag), yel jalapeno - whole thing, 2 bottles, black pearl (1/2 bag), fresno.

Got Candy Cane today! The seeds look good and there's at least a dozen. Put them to sprout today.

Also deseeded the two red jalapenos which the seed looks good and mature. Deseeded the 2 ghosts, one was a bit immature seeds, the other had white fuzzy mold. Put both to sprout and not too hopeful about that.

Pepper check. Left a few bags open as they are too wet and roots are rotting off: lemon drop 2 or 3 roots completely rotted off. Planted 2 of them anyway. Habanero: showing 1 white very small radicle.

Small sprouts are appearing in poblano! Lots though they are small.
1 small sprout appeared in habanada #1 though its brownish as though its rotting.
Planted 5 chilhuacle sprouts! They were brownish but strong enough looking. 1 wasn't sprouted but I dropped it on the floor.

To-do: bring up last red jalapeno and sprout it.
put yellow and red shep to sprout.

letters to US sent today. On each put 1 Permanent stamp, then it cost 86 cents additional for both. Which is almost the price of a permanent stamp. So it's cheaper to only pay the P stamp + 43 cents. Per letter to US.

Got 4 more red jalapenos to deseed today. 2 were outside in the cold.

Planted 1 habanada. There ia 1 poblano sprout! Looks strong. Ghost sprout! Only 1 small one.
Planted all the yellow cayenne and Cherry bomb, each in 2 pots.
The new jalapeno and ghost had mold growing already, so sprayed the seeds with H202.

Still only the 1 same habanero sprout visible.

Hubby turned the oven up while the seeds were on the burner. he turned it up to 200 at 1pm. i only found out at 3.30pm. and took the seeds off right away. they were quite hot the habanero napkin is scorched. Yellow jalapenos look okay. i hope.
Yesterday got 10 seeder trays and 1 more 16 cell pack with bottom tray.

Sprouts! Ghost (og) has 1 real sprout! Habanero has 3 sprouts, 1 is long! Ghost 2 and Jalapeno 2 have sprouts! they both have mold - bad. Plant soon. Shishito looks like it's getting 1 sprout. Still 1 sprout so far in Poblano. It's getting moldy in there.

Did some digging aorund inthe pots that the peppers didnt come up, looks like I might have buried seeds too deep. Palermo has 2 or 3 plants comingup, most of the seeds look molded. Pobalno has a leaf showing! owever it's stuck in the seed head. We'll see. 2 visible seeds in habanada, doing nothing.

Put to sprout: more palermo, more chilwahcle, more agua.

1 sprout in Chilwahcle, and a 2nd about to come out. Still 2 sprouts in BP. Only 1 sprout visible in habanero. 2 or 3 in red shep.

It's almost painful to wait for all these peppers to sprout.

my back up plan is to buy poblano peppers plants in May.

Also end of this month, in less than a week, go to sweet potato and buy habanero, anaheim and poblano peppers and sprout from them. probably ghost too.

At the very least we have: 4 kinds shep, yellow cayenne, yellow jalapeno, black pearl, fresno, cherry bomb.

toms: 25-30 per cell, 2 of each. then 20-30 in cellpack.

Today: planted all the moldy ghost peps. There was at least 5 sprouted peps. Planted 2 BP, though one might be too rotted. Planted 1 chilwahcle sprout. Planted all the poblano seed, no visible sprouts.

The plants are growing true leaves: choc shep, orange shep. In the other boxes, Fresno, yellow jalapenos, Cherry bomb and still beginning to poke up their leaves.

Several sprouts coming up in boh ground cherry. sprouts up in 1 tomatillo pot, at least 5. Planted 1 lemon drop sprouted today. Should plant ghost soon. Jalapeno has 1 or 2 sprouts. red shep has 5 or so. That's all that's sprouted today.

pepper mishap. Lost a few bags. Saved many, though heat might have killed them. 1 healthy ghost sprout! Plant tomorrow.

Peppers sprouted! Planted 9 Bishop crown, and 12 pasilla, all very healthy looking, and all the Orange Ornamental, very healthy looking. Planted 6 Candy cane! also healthy. Planted a dozen jalapeno plus a bunch of unsprouted seed. they looked strong but came from a heavily molded napkin.

Jimmy Nardello is Sprouting! It's taken over a month. I see 2 roots just starting and a third longer one! B Rainbow is also starting to sprout!
