Redondo di Tronco is a variety native to South America, but also reported of Italian origin. Winter Marrow type. Bushy and non-running plant that needs two square meters. Fruit rounded, flattened, slightly ribbed, 11 to 14 cm in diameter, 7 to 9 cm thick, 400 to 600 g. Dark green epidermis when the fruits are young becoming coppery as they age. Orange flesh with fine grain. Maturity: 95 days. Conservation: 2 to 5 months. They can be stuffed and baked.
Can be harvested immature for consumption, the plant is very rich. In South America, it is used as summer squash, like young patissons and others.
