Yesterday Nipisihkopahk Secondary School had the wonderful experience of hosting former Top Chef Canada finalist Rich Francis as he filmed an episode of his new travel-food series, “Red Chef Revival.” And at lunchtime, Rich ran a cooking demo for our grade 11 and 12 students. Look at the delicious looking food our amazing young people were able to create! We would like to thank Chef Rich Francis and Black Rhino Video for choosing our school and community to film their episode!
Francis: "Idk if I ever told you this or not but I really love my job. Whether you believe it or not Indigneous food sovereignty and security is a real thing. This generation right here ( my kids kids ages ironically) have a lot of work to do in all areas of leadership in business, as land and water protectors in the future , the list goes on, but it’s promising. As a future elder I hope to leave a mark."
