1) Madelines - batter with anise, cinnamin, nutmeg, cardamom. before cooking add 1 dollop of pumpkin puree with spices. glaze madelines. with pumpkin juice syrup. or cover with dark chocolate.

2) pumpkin wine - made rfom pumpkin juice

3) pumpkin face masks - pumpkin puree with powdered ginger and lemon juice.

4) pumpkin custard cream. with pumpkin puree.

5) savoury kabocha chunks pan fried with fatty beef cubes. cumin, garlic.

grand marnier soaked cannoli with our own filling: mascarpone, groud almonds craque c=duc rmenedegebutter baker

matcha, chocolate and pizza

gourmet food month. we are inspired by lcbo food magazine. going to eat pumpkin spice everyting. and pumpkins everyday. we are flush with cider and plum wine. pancakes are the go-to dessert. have to incorporate pumpkin into them.

today cooking a sweet dumpling.

2 days ago we cooked a swan white we got from metro. it was yellow skinned, mature. the flesh was sweet like and acorn, with some bitter parts. most of it was very good and we ate a bowl for lunch.

still hunting for exotic squash in toronto. this year i would liek to try: galeux de eysines. kabocha like thick flesh, very sweet. Pink banana - custard candy like pumpkin flavour. one too many. winter luxury .

our usual standd-by squash: delicata, sweet dumpling, honeynut, butternut, kabocha. occasionally baby boo, and halloween pumpkin. this year; fairytale due to we are growing them.
