ArtReach Program Guidelines

Open to youth artists and youth-led groups, organizations, or collectives 29 years of age and under only.

Applications are open from December 1 to February 1.

ArtReach funds programs but does not fund personal or collaborative projects.

A program provides instruction to participants for skill development, whereas a project is about creating a final product, typically for the primary benefit of the artist or their group, organization, or collective.

A program may result in the creation of a final product, but the focus is on the development of artistic and personal skills for the youth participants involved.

Programs are often structured as a workshop series, an intensive, creation under direct mentorship (learning while doing with strong mentorship and instruction provided throughout), or a combination of these.

Projects tend to be personal (such as creating an EP, a fashion line, or individual portfolio) or collaborative (such as a magazine issue or a collective film).
