Fascinating article. it almost gives you the impression hat you cannot walk through a border wearing Canadian seal.
However, a brief perusal of the government statute shows there is indeed a legal framework by which any US citizen can walk in through a US border checkpoint and be waved through by a US customs official.
This article goes to great lengths to show how impossible it is and completely fails to mention that if you do things properly ( and don't buy black market goods) then you certainly can legally wear Canadian seal through a US border crossing.
So many words were written about how impossible this is in this article, but didn't anyone check the correct statue?
"(a) Fur-seal or sea-otter skins taken by Indians, Aleuts, or other aborigines under the authority of section 3 of the act, fur-seal skins taken under the authority of the Canadian Government, and fur-seal skins taken on the Pribilof Islands and other specified areas under the authority of section 4 of the act shall be admitted to entry if officially marked and certified as having been lawfully taken and if accompanied by a declaration of the shipper identifying the skins by marks and numbers as those covered by the official certificate."
