thai pumpkin custard worked out pretty well. amazing custard. very good pumpkin, almost like kabocha.

Ate the last of the custard yesterday, scraped the pumpkin a bit, then made soup with the rest. added stock, oregano and parsely, cream and noodles and a sockeye fillet and had for lunch.
making chicken tomorrow with salsa verde, tomatoes, beans, poblanos. maybe rice. corn would be nice. like tortilla soup. I'll probably cook another pumpkin because they have to go. the humid weather makes them hard to store and they'll spoil. thinking of duck, wild rice and squash. or maybe squash soup with all the leftover duck stock. Or corn bean squash soup. Used pork stock today, i would rather use chicken stock, but we get so many bones we end up with a freezer full of stock.
got milk powder, going to make barfi, one matcha and one rose cardamom. using the coconut cream from nations, rich says its the best. should also make a steamed coconut custard, its really good.

for dinner we had a prime rib steak seared and served with chips made in duck fat and organic peas.

got 4 boneless lamb legs at metro, and the 2 steaks for 19. lamg was about 12/lb.

then we made blackberry ice cream. going to make thai banana ice cream tomorrow.

tomorrow we have to cook 4 bags of onions. make blueberry pancakes. something with ham and juniper sausage. shrimp and lime leaf for dinner. with napa and lettuce. young ginger. chicken stock. in the fridge we have bocconcini, bufalo mazzarella, pumpkin pasta sauce.
