Blush
Blush

Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces good yields over an extended period, of outstandingly beautiful, 2″ long, cherry tomatoes, “blushed,” with gold with red coloring. Exceptionally wonderful, well-balanced, tropical fruity flavors reminiscent of pineapple. Flavors are best if harvested when a pink blush starts to appear over the yellow background. Tall vines with the weight of heavy crops will need staking.

Artisan Blush Tiger
Artisan Blush Tiger AKA Blush. Developed by Fred Hempel in California, released in 2011. The parents for the original cross were selected by Fred’s 8 year old son, Alex. He chose his favorite tomatoes that tasted great – Maglia Rosa and Zucchero. Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces extremely high yields of small, 2″ long, elongated oval fruits that are bright-yellow with pink stripes and often have a little tip at the blossom end. Unique julienne cherry tomatoes that are sought after for their exceptionally sweet, juicy, tropical flavors. Fruits can also be picked prematurely and allowed to ripen off the vine without compromising the flavor. Widely adaptable with extremely high yields over an extended period. Crack resistant.

Solanum lycopersicum A gorgeous saladette tomato for snacking and lunchboxes. Vigorous plants bear high-quality fruits: elongated, yellow-marbled-red, with a pearl-like iridescence. Crack resistant. Perfectly pint-sized.
Indeterminate. A newer cultivar of tomato classically bred by Artisan Tomatoes. We like to think of it as a contemporary heirloom, with beauty and flavor on one side, and vigorous plants bearing high-quality fruits on the other. Beautiful, elongated yellow fruits have a pearl-like iridescence, are very crack-resistant and have excellent field standing. A real treat to grow, this tomato is also suitable for market growers who wish to add something unique and reliable to their offerings. Mini-saladette fruits are about 2-2.5 inches long, making it perfect in pints.

Days to Germination 3-10 days
Days to Maturity 75 days from transplant
Planting Depth ˝ inch
Spacing in Row 24 inches
Spacing Between Rows 36 inches
Height at Maturity 60 inches
Width at Maturity 24 inches
Growing Instructions Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost, then transplant outdoors to indicated spacing after all threat of frost has passed. All tomatoes benefit from staking; indeterminate varieties require it. Prune tomatoes when they reach about 24" high and are starting to produce small suckers. Keep plants from coming into contact with the soil, and water at the roots as often as possible to prevent the spread of soil borne disease. When fruit begin to become fully ripe, harvest every couple of days for the highest quality fruit. At the end of the season, harvest any fruits that have begun to take on color to ripen indoors. Blush – Early/Mid season, Indeterminate, yellowish skin with pink streaks running from the stem to blossom ends. 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter and about 2 inches long. Taste was somewhat mild, but not bland. The flavor was full, with some complex flavors in the background. Excellent production, the medium size plant really loaded up..
