Vernissage "Art Colors" Mix
A “vernissage” is a private, special advance screening before a public exhibition. It’s a celebration of the completion of a piece of artwork. The Vernissage series is both a work of art and a celebration! This Ukrainian variety makes gorgeous salad tomatoes that weigh about 2 oz. This mix of these little jewels consists of Pink, Green, Yellow and Black fruited types. Tasty and so productive! Beautiful and delicious.
What are the pros? Productive, tasty, easy
What are the cons? Not my earliest tomato
Review: I grow Black Vernissage last year (2018)in an unheated greenhouse. I grow only early tomatoes because the season is short here in Anchorage, this was the first time I tried this variety. Black Vernissage surprised me by their fruit, lots of very tasty intensely flavored little fruits. It took them awhile to get producing, I didn't take notes, but they were not the fastest or the slowest. Apparently only a mix of colors is available, I don't know about the other colors but I'm definitely ordered the seed.
What are the pros? Excellent germination
What are the cons? None
Review: I received black Vernissage as a free seed with order. I was amazed as nearly every seed germinated. I put only one seed per cell and all but two sprouted. I used a heat mat, climate control, and vented cover for humidity control. This tomato sprouted earlier and in greater number than the tomato seeds I bought...lol. I can't wait to see how they grow and produce.
What are the pros? Outperforms other tomatoes
What are the cons? None
Review: I take note of the best producing, tastiest, and most trouble free varieties out of the eight or so varieties I grow every year. These I will grow every year as my tried and true producers and the rest will just be experiments. After last year’s trial/free packet I will be adding this variety to my ‘tried and true’ that perform almost effortlessly in my soil/climate.
What are the pros? Prolific yields
What are the cons? No flavor, even when dried
Review: I received the black vernissage packet as a free sample last year. I was excited to have prolific yields of beautiful tomatoes......... except......... they had NO flavor at any stage and were mealy at most stages. We tried eating fresh, drying, reducing to paste, and well, I was downright frustrated to have wasted the space in my garden on 2 of these plants. We ended up using them to make fried green tomatoes in an attempt to not waste them, but several pounds ended up in our compost. As an avid tomato lover, this is the 1st plant I've ever thought was a pure waste. Hopefully the other varieties in this mix are more flavorful! rareseeds

Pink Bumble Bee Tomato
Review:
Great Cherry tomato. Grew these in heavy soil and also some in pots. Grown in the ground, these produced much better results.
The plants were enormous - grew well over 8 feet high.
They are in heavily fortified organic soil with all the best amendments such as rock dusts, kelp, fish meal, etc, in 10 gallon grow bags. Absolute monsters, they are over 6 feet tall, super healthy. rareseeds
